SIX REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD WORKOUT - 360LIFE BLOG

Workout, 360life blog

Some persons have this notion that the only reason to workout is to lose weight, but nothing could be more wrong. For others, working out is an obsession because they don’t want to gain weight, therefore engaging in unhealthy eating habits, which eventually becomes a disorder.

I was going through some pictures and I came across one picture that said “food is the most abused anxiety drug. Exercise is the most underutilized antidepressant.” Interesting! There are lots of truths in those words.

Have you noticed that some persons see eating food as a comfort drug when they are going through emotionally distressing situations? Unfortunately, using food as anxiety drug when depressed or emotionally down is one of the risk factors of obesity.

Stress also can make some eat unhealthy foods because the suitable option is out of reach, and you will be amazed how some persons gain weight even though they are going through stress.

In the midst of all these, exercise is the most underutilized antidepressant as the quote above said. You would be surprise what simple indulgence in workout can do for you.

IMPORTANCE OF STARTING A WORKOUT ROUTINE
There are lots of reasons to workout and understanding the necessity of workout will encourage you to start and remain consistent.

KEEPS YOU HEALTHY:
Maintaining a simple workout routine can keep you healthy more than any drug. It will help you burn calories you don’t need and boost your immunity. Working out can improve blood circulation and supply to cells.

ALLEVIATES ANXIETY
Eating lots of junk food is not the answer to anxiety, you might see it as seeking comfort but you are doing great harm to your health. When you are emotionally distressed, hit the gym or the tracks. Run it off, put some miles to it or blow of some steam with the punching bag at the gym.

MENTAL ALERTNESS
Stress can kill your mental alertness, and productivity, before you know it you will be unable to complete simple tasks or come up with solutions to problems. If your work is very tasking mentally and physically, it is the best reason to set out a time in your week to keep a workout schedule. It will amaze you how your self esteem is improved; you will be happier and more motivated to learn and work more.

IMPROVES SEXUAL DRIVE
Instead of overly indulging in taking drugs that will increase your libido, it’s safer and healthier to workout instead. Relying on drugs will eventually have irrevocable side effects that will kill your sexual experience with your partner. It’s natural to feel the need to satisfy your partner sexually but taking those sex boosters will not help you in the long run. You might get a temporal reprieve but you will eventually regret the long term effects. Get involved in simple workout routine and watch your sex life come back to life.

IMPROVES YOUR SKIN TONE
It might interest you to know that working out slows the ageing process and improves your skin tone. Instead of having all those bags under your eyes and watching your skin sag and wrinkle, spend some time working out. An hour three times a week will make a big difference in the way you look. Everyone will be amazed at how young you look and you will always feel light and young on the inside, always ready to take on the world.

IMPROVES BALANCE AND CORDINATION
Workout improves balance and coordination and also keeps your joints in good working order. As you grow older, you become susceptible to osteoporosis, however if you are consistent with your workout sessions you will be strong and sturdy even at the age of eighty.

Keeping a regular workout session is easier said than done especially if you have a mountain heap of things to do or you lack the motivation to even engage in it. But the reasons above should be motivation enough to get you up on the days you have set out and hit the mat. Having a good headset and workout playlist can also help you; you won’t even notice the time fly. One hour of workout sessions every weekend can make a world of difference in your life.
