SOME REASONS WHY SOME MARRIAGES AND DATING RELATIONSHIPS HIT THE ROCKS
1: NO GOD FACTOR:
a man that doesnt love God will never know how to love you. I am not talking about fanatism or being religious but a love for God that have being fashioned out relationship with Him. So when there is no God factor the individuals will have no spiritual head to account to so they treat each other anyhow.
2: SETTLING FOR LESS THAN GOD'S BEST:
There was a time i was seeking God's face about a particular issue and the Spirit of God told me " dont settle for less than God's best for you". When you settle for less you get less. Some people settled for less and expect the best and end up frustrated in their marriages or relationships. The Bible said we should not be unequally yoked with unbelievers…. (2 corinthians 6:14-16). When you lie with dogs you will get fleas. If you know where you are going to then you should know that who goes with you (your spouse) is important. How do you know God's best? Go to The Word, find who you are then He will direct you to His best.
3: INCOMPATIBILITY:
Two persons maybe okay separately but when paired together sparks fly and they cant seem to find a common ground. You wont always agree on all subjects but there should be some kind of hand in a glove relationship. If you dont agree as two people dating rethink, before you take that extra step into marriage. Marriage never hides flaws but unravels it. Amos 3:3 from the Holy Bible says "can two walk together, except they be agreed?"
4: LACK OF HONOR:
Honor builds a great foundation for love. You cant get anything positive from what you dishonor. Relationships that lack honor hits the rocks sooner or later because each party is always playing the " blame game". Respect and reverence each other.
5: EMOTIONAL IMMATURITY:
Some individuals are so grown physically but still babies emotionally. They whine about every form of discomfort. They blame the other party for what isbobviously their fault because someone has to take the blame apart from them. Some still cling to the wrappers of their parents after marriage forgetting that the equation no longer involves their parents. Dont marry a grown up person that is still a child emotionally because it can never stand the test of time, when they are not the centre of attention they do things to seek that attention and most times to the detriment of the marriage or relationship.
5: CONSCIOUS IGNORANCE OF OBVIOUS FLAWS:
There are some people that know some flaws about their intended spouse that they cant stand on a normal day and instead of handling it they choose to ignore it hoping that he or she will change. Here is the breaking news, they never change instead they get worse and the suffering party is always filled with regrets. Ignoring things never makes them go away, they will waiting for you and probably get worse than it was.
nice post.
ReplyDeletesometimes we tend not to help matters in a relationship. if our partner is having one flaw or the other, it is our duty to make sure that they come out of those flaws. if we keep on with the attitude of leaving things go like that, it will jeopardize the relationship.
